  • The seeds of Sarawagi Group were sown in 1965 when the former Chairman Late Shri Chiranjiwi Lal Sarawagi ventured into the soap manufacturing industry concurrently facilitating the expansion of the food and trading business. This is how the group name was christened to Sarawagi Group. A group that stringently follows its fundamental principles of transparency and principle in every transaction without compromising on the quality of the products and constantly improvising the services and products.

In the 1990s, the second-generation entrepreneurs, Mr. Ajay Sarawagi and Mr. Vijay Sarawagi further fueled the growth of Sarawagi Group by putting together their network and finance skills to set the entire supply chain from generating demand to fulfilling customer needs.

In 1989, Managing Director Mr. Vijay Sarawagi initiated a project on manufacturing of foam.His expertise spearheaded major initiatives such as Kanchan Plastic Udhyog, Dental College,Asian Life Insurance, and Soap manufacturing. With his specialisation in Accounting and Finance, he brings new perspective and acumen in managing the finances for the Sarawagi Group from expanding into various sectors such as Banking and Insurance. He foresaw the need for a robust finance company in tier 2 cities and thereby founded Birgunj Finance whichis now acquired by Lumbini Bikas Bank Ltd.

Mr. Ajay Sarawagi with his entrepreneurial vision and determination forayed into Sarawagi Group in 1992. Upon joining the group, he leveraged his expertise in Industrial trading. A dynamic person who with vision, perseverance coupled with courage set out to establish his foothold into myriad activities envisioned the need for a portfolio of products in the food and beverage industry. It was during this time that he came across plastic crates by Supreme at an exhibition that caught his attention. Since then there has been no looking back and the meteoric rise can be attributed to his determination to succeed.
